Account information: Email address, first name, and password (hashed and stored securely).
Pool data: Chemistry readings (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, temperature, clarity, algae), chemical additions, maintenance records, and inventory levels you enter.
Pool settings: Zip code, pool volume, and timezone preferences.
Usage data: Basic interaction data such as login timestamps.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Service, including charts, recommendations, and dosage calculations.
To fetch weather data for your area using your zip code (via the Open-Meteo API).
To generate AI-powered pool care recommendations (when enabled, your reading data is sent to OpenAI).
To send service-related communications (account verification, password resets).

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase: Database hosting and authentication. Your data is stored securely with row-level security policies.
Open-Meteo: Weather data based on your zip code. Only geographic coordinates (derived from your zip code) are shared.
OpenAI: When AI recommendations are enabled, your pool reading data and pool volume are sent to generate personalized advice. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on all database tables to ensure users can only access their own data.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may export all your data or delete your account at any time from your Account Settings page. When you delete your account, all associated data (readings, chemical additions, maintenance records, inventory, and settings) is permanently removed.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access and export your personal data.
Correct inaccurate data via the app.
Delete your account and all associated data.
Withdraw consent for AI-powered recommendations at any time.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
