1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Aqualitx ("the Service"), operated by STEMania, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Aqualitx is a pool chemistry tracking application that allows users to log water chemistry readings, track chemical additions, record maintenance activities, calculate chemical dosages, and receive recommendations for pool care.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts.
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission.

5. Recommendations Disclaimer

Pool care recommendations provided by the Service (including AI-generated advice and dosage calculations) are for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional pool maintenance advice. Always follow chemical manufacturer instructions and consult a pool professional when in doubt. STEMania is not liable for any damage to pools, equipment, or health resulting from following recommendations provided by the Service.

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service (readings, chemical additions, maintenance records, etc.). You may export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any loss of data or interruption of service.

8. Pricing and Payment

The Service is currently offered free of charge for early users. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future. Existing free accounts will receive advance notice of any pricing changes.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Account Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, STEMania shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
